Chicago on the map..again!

Get excited Chicagoans, new store openings!

Marc Jacobs, who already has a Marc by Marc Jacobs Wicker Park outpost, is slated to open a Marc Jacobs store at the Elysian Chicago in early 2009. The designer signed a 10 year lease in the space considered the retail courtyard of the building. The lineup will also include a restaurant by world renowned chef Charlie Trotter.

Michael Kors has just opened its lifestyle store in 900 North Michigan building which houses retail giant Bloomingdales as well as stores like J Crew, Club Monaco and Coach. Of his Chicago store opening he said, “I am a camel hair and gray flannel kind of guy and Chicago is a camel and gray flannel kind of town." We could surely use a flannel in this weather, that much is true!
